As a photographer in current times, I spend an incredible amount of time in front of a computer - whether its managing and retouching my photographs; searching for the latest exhibition to check out; staying on top of the industry; reading artist's blogs; doing admin (AARRGHHH); working on my website; good old Social Media-ing (yes, just made that word up); and countless other tasks.
As this can easily amount to a full 16 hours straight - and more on some occasions - I need to have something audibly pleasing in the background to keep me going.
So I thought I would share some essential music that has kept me relatively sane as of late. Its only fitting that I write a blog about music I reckon, given my background of shooting musicians and my insatiable rhythmic appetite. And before you ask, yes, there are times when I get up and start dancing to a favorite tune of mine in front of the Mac. Don't judge me!!
(ps. no particular order)
Flying Lotus - Pretty much anything he does that I can get my hands on. Love his remix work for the likes of Lil' Wayne and Andreya Triana. Also, his recent album Cosmogramma is totally nuts.
Burial - Immense Dubstep music. Particularly conducive to getting work done as its all pretty much instrumental so just guides you through your day. Both his albums are classic.
